Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers to common questions about how ExConnect works, what your assistant does, and what you can expect from the service.
What is ExConnect?
ExConnect is a human-supported communication service for separated parents. It helps create a calmer, more structured way to manage necessary co-parenting communication, reducing the emotional burden of direct contact while keeping important parenting information moving.
How does it work?
Instead of communicating directly with your co-parent, you communicate with your ExConnect assistant via WhatsApp. Your assistant reviews incoming messages before they reach you, helps refine outgoing messages before they are sent, and supports the communication process on your behalf. You remain in control of what is sent.
Who is ExConnect for?
ExConnect is designed for separated parents who find co-parenting communication stressful, emotionally activating or difficult to manage. It may be particularly helpful when you want clearer boundaries, less unnecessary conflict, and greater confidence that communication remains calm, appropriate and focused on parenting matters.
Do I approve messages before they are sent?
Yes. You remain in control of your outgoing communication and can review the message before it is sent.
How quickly are messages processed?
Most messages are processed within 5–15 minutes during active service hours. Response times can vary depending on demand, message complexity and availability.
Is there a limit on messages?
ExConnect is designed to support ordinary day-to-day co-parenting communication. Most users have around 1–3 message exchanges per day. If your communication needs are consistently higher, we can discuss what level of support is appropriate.
